Problem Statement

Basically this is a proof of concept for a common thing in real life that is renting a place, we want to explore the ways that tokenized solutions can improve the current models of the web2 world, in this case we are doing a simplified version of Airbnb that will consist of a react frontend using ethers, and contracts in the backend to handle the interactions places, reviews, images, etc. We are planning to use AAVE to store funds while they are locked and split the rewards between the owner of the place and the visitor, all files will be stored in ipfs and filecoin and fees will be paid using the rewards from AAVE.

Solution

We are using hardhat, solidity, react, nextjs, tailwind css so far. We planned to use IPFS to store the images, but we did not have the time to implement. The app's credit was going to be based on ERC20 token such as DAI or USDT. Also, we are planned to use AAVE to store funds while they are locked and split the rewards between the owner of the place and the visitor.
