Problem Statement

BLNDR gives users the ability to control how, when, and to whom they share their personal data in a privacy-focused manner. BLNDR eliminates "catfishing" for good by providing a decentralized alternative to Tinder, Grindr, and other modern dating platforms by allowing its users to. This is achieved by implementing our “Proof-of-Interest'' (POI) protocol.

Solution

BLNDR combines the technologies of WalletConnect, Filecoin, IPFS, and EPNS to present the first decentralized application for personal connections. Users sign up by connecting their wallet and staking a small amount BLNDR’s native ERC20 token, $BLND. Once staked, they are then guided through the profile setup process consisting of a single question: “What interests you?” After completing the setup, users will be able to upload a profile picture, which will appear to other users as a pixelated image. Users are then matched based on their common interests. When a user comes across a profile and image that appeals to them, they can apply tap "BLEND" to connect with the other person in real-time.
