Problem Statement

This project (Catalog Factory) was inspired by Catalog's (Music NFT curator) statement that "curation is a public good". For Music NFT, the only curation options are centralized platforms likeSound_xyz,Catalog& Mint Songs. This project decentralizes Music NFT curation by allowing any curator to create their own Music NFT contract without learning how to code.Create your first Music NFT™ on Zora V3:Live appBuilt by Artists & Engineers:·wrecs.eth·sweetman.eth

Solution

·Music NFT™ minting 💿·NFT.Storage: free IPFS metadata pinning. 💾·Zora V3 Asks V1.1: marketplace for music nfts. 🌛· Polygon & Ethereum Zora V3: the first music nft platform to use Zora V3 Asks on Polygon.·Degen: front-end UI component library built by Foundation.· Testnets included. 🧪·RainbowKit: wallets made easy. 🌈We deployed smart contracts following the Factory pattern (OZ Clones). I started with Catalog's shared curation smart contract as a base. Then, in the factory, we allow anyone to deploy a copy of Catalog's music nft contract. The difference? Musician is the curator instead of Catalog. Musicians can easily create their own music nft curation platform.
