In some cases, you wouldn't even be able to access the raw health data from these devices even if you wanted.Data about your and my health is being stored on a trusted centralized server in exchange for a product or service we use (such as the Apple watch, Fitbit, Google Fit etc). Here is a high-level flow of how things work today.A wearable device monitors and collects your health data and stores it on a centralized server.A centralized service (generally run by a company with a lot of resources) generates insight on your health data using AI.The service gets better over time as it has access to a larger amount of dataWe are hookedWe are willing to exchange data about our health for the service we getUntil ...Today, we have a better way.A better wayThis is the Dappy way.Wearable devices collect data about your health in a non-custodial way and sign and encrypt the data with your private keys that are natively on the device. Those of you that own a hardware wallet know that this is possible today.The data collected by the device is stored on a sufficiently decentralized layer-3 network that is specifically designed for storing private data streams about your health. Your data is not accessible to anyone including the people running a node on this network.You can visualize your health data at any time on the Dappy Health App or any other application which builds on top of the healthcare network.You get personalized insights on your health data either by using a trusted service provider (you can give and revoke access to your data as needed) or running your own AI service (yes, we know this is ambitious but we strongly believe it will be possible to run your own sufficiently large AI models that align specifically with you at an affordable cost soon. check tinycorp. ).You automatically share the relevant health data with your doctor and setup consultations when needed.A small stepDuring this hackathon, we built a prototype of how such a system would look for an user using the following technologies.Optimism and Base was used for making payments for doctor appointmentsSafe AA was used for auth and on-rampEAS was used for attestations given by device about the person's health data and also by the doctor to confirm the meeting notes and prescrition were correct.We were hoping to showcase an on-chain health insurance protocol that could be built with such a system (but weren't able to cover it :/)
