dePlace

dePlace is an attempt to make an autonomous world out of the r/place project idea, which was a collaborative project and social experiment hosted on the social networking site Reddit, but that cannot be shut down and finished.

Problem Statement

This project was based on the idea that r/place could be made a decentralized autonomous worldThe inputs were as follows: we need a canvas on which users can select a cell and change the color of that cell every X minutes. Since this is a social project, we need statistics, some leaderboard and communities to join and draw something cool. Also, we can make the canvas iterative. For example, once a week we can reset the canvas, and what was on it can be minted by everyone who participated

Solution

This project uses mud, React, and all sorts of front-end stuffMud is a very cool technology for creating autonomous worlds. It compresses the complexity of building EVM apps with a tightly integrated software stack. MUD is maximally onchain: the entire application state lives in the EVM, and the only requirement for clients and frontends is an Ethereum Node or a MODE — a MUD node. You can use all MUD libraries together as a framework and get super-powers, or only pick the parts you like. It’s up to you!
