Problem Statement

Humble Opinions of NFTS, or HO_NFTs, integrates directly with OpenSea (and soon other marketplaces) to collect user feedback and aggregate it for all to see. Prices can't tell you everything, especially with the rise of utility NFTs, and consumers need more insight into product quality across the market. We take it one step better than shopping sites by decoupling ratings from the marketplace, making reviews persistent and portable just like the NFTs themselves.

Solution

This project uses Scaffold-Eth and Tenderly for development and debugging. Reviews are collected into a subgraph on The Graph for access and filtering. The OpenSea embedding uses a from-scratch chrome extension. We knew that having the reviews seamlessly available while browsing any NFT marketplace is the key to a project like this succeeding. Considering we had never written a line of Solidity, never built on Scaffold-Eth, never used smart contract dev tooling like Tenderly, and definitely never deployed on Goerli and integrated with The Graph - we've quickly crossed line into Web3 developer territory! It's been a wild ride!
