Loopr
Loopr- Confidential document signing & verification for global teams.
Problem Statement
Loopr is a decentralized document signing platform that solves the critical problems of legal document confidentiality, immutable verification, and user-friendly Web3 onboarding. It addresses the long-standing challenges of document integrity, third-party trust, and the complexity of blockchain-based signing systems. At its core, Loopr leverages Lit Protocol's threshold cryptography to ensure documents are encrypted client-side before storage, with only authorized signers able to decrypt. Using Privy's embedded wallets, users authenticate with familiar social logins (Google, Email, Twitter) while automatically gaining EVM wallet capabilities. IPFS provides decentralized, censorship-resistant document storage, ensuring permanence and accessibility. Finally, Hardhat enables robust smart contract development, while Envio powers real-time blockchain indexing for instant signature verification and status updates.Loopr also integrates smart contracts for automated access control, wallet-based document decryption permissions, and NFT-based signature proofs, ensuring signers can only access documents they're authorized to view. An intelligent AI chat assistant helps users understand contract terms before signing, while ERC721 NFTs provide immutable, transferable proof of signature on-chain.By combining threshold cryptography (Lit Protocol), seamless identity (Privy), decentralized storage (IPFS), and rapid indexing (Envio), Loopr builds a frictionless global document signing experience, eliminating intermediaries and giving users financial freedom, control, and transparency in every transaction—all while maintaining absolute document confidentiality.
Solution
Loopr was built using a modern Web3 stack combining threshold cryptography, decentralized storage, and real-time indexing technologies. The frontend is developed in Vite.js and TypeScript with Tailwind CSS, providing an intuitive dashboard for users to upload documents, manage signers, and track signature status. Smart contracts written in Solidity handle document metadata, NFT-based signature proofs, and factory-based deployment, while a lightweight Node.js backend manages orchestration, IPFS uploads, and document metadata. The project integrates three key partner technologies: @Lit Protocol for client-side threshold cryptography that encrypts documents before upload, ensuring only authorized signers can decrypt; @Privy for embedded wallet infrastructure that enables social logins while automatically provisioning EVM wallets for Web3 interactions; and @IPFS for decentralized, permanent document storage. Using @Envio for real-time blockchain indexing and @Hardhat for contract development and deployment, Loopr demonstrates how cryptographic confidentiality, seamless onboarding, and instant verification can combine to power a secure, accessible document signing layer for the global economy.
