MediCare

Decentralized healthcare platform ensuring secure and transparent medical data access

Problem Statement

Medicare is a Web3-based healthcare platform built to make medical data management secure, transparent, and patient-controlled. In traditional healthcare systems, patient data is fragmented across hospitals, clinics, and labs — often vulnerable to breaches or lost due to poor interoperability. Medicare solves this by leveraging blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized storage to give patients full control over their medical records.

Solution

We built Medicare using a full Web3 technology stack combining blockchain, decentralized storage, and modern web frameworks.Frontend: Developed with React.js and Tailwind CSS to create a clean, responsive user interface where patients and doctors can log in, manage profiles, and access records.Blockchain Integration: Integrated Ethers.js with MetaMask for wallet-based authentication. Every user action — such as uploading, sharing, or granting data access — triggers an interaction with the deployed smart contracts.Smart Contracts: Written in Solidity and deployed on the Polygon Mumbai or Ethereum Sepolia testnet using Hardhat. Smart contracts handle the logic for record registration, access control, and verification.
