Problem Statement

The objective of metch is to be the tool that all hackers use when they need to look for a team for start building at these kind of hacking events.In my personal experience hacking I noticed that forming teams on discord could not be the best way to do it, Although it works I think there could be a much cooler approach rather than reading many messages all of them with different structures, for example some hackers say they want to join a team, others say they need people for their teams, others comment ideas to build, among other type of messages . Besides we don’t know if someone is already taken for a team until we ask them. Metch comes and makes this easier.It has several cool features such as: ⁃ Matching system ⁃ Reputation system ⁃ Chat ⁃ Calendar for upcoming events ⁃ And more that I would like to work on

Solution

The metch dapp uses Lens Protocol for profiles and publications(ideas) creation. I linked these two features with Push Chat so that users can connect with other hackers in a matching system (similar to a dating app but for creating team group chats).It also implements a reputation system using the Attestation Station contract by Optimism. In this system hackers recognizes other hackers sending badges to them.
