Problem Statement

MiniHunt is a weekly competition where hunters bet on the best Farcaster mini-apps. Using progressive pricing (first bet $1, +3% each bet), early hunters earn the highest returns when their picks finish in the top 3. The prize pool (90% of betting fees) is split 60/30/10 among winners. Built on Celo with cUSD, MiniHunt solves the cold start problem for builders while rewarding hunters for discovering quality apps early. Smart contracts deployed on Celo mainnet, tested with Hardhat 3. Product Hunt meets Prediction Markets, fully onchain.

Solution

Built with Hardhat 3 for smart contract development and testing on Celo mainnet.Frontend is a Farcaster mini-app using React, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui.Core contracts handle: progressive pricing (3% linear increase per bet), weekly prize pool distribution (60/30/10 split to top 3), and proportional reward claims with 90-day deadline. Integrated with cUSD for stable pricing and Farcaster SDK for seamless authentication.Key innovation: economic mechanism creates discovery alpha—early hunters on winning apps earn 10-20x returns, incentivizing genuine curation over popularity contests. All transactions verified onchain.
