Problem Statement

News For The Win allow journalist to publish uncensored news and take actual ownership on the content they create. Each article has the sources that were the origin of the new, this way we can also stop the spread of fake news. There is also the possibility for journalists to sell or transfer the ownership of the new for royalties.

Solution

In order to implement the news article we deployed a ERC-721 Token on both Polygon and Skale. The data for each article is stored On-Chain on the NFT and Off-Chain on IPFS (via NFT.Storage). We used React for our web application and integrated the authentication with Coinbase and WalletConnect (apart of the usual MetaMask). It's worth mentioning the pinning service that the NFT.Storage provides, and how it's crucial for public goods.
