Problem Statement

Octobuddy is a platform that allows everyone to split their expenses easily with a single click of a button with no regards to the blockchain that they are on! It allows easy payment via a single button click across multiple chains, and also allow users to perform transactions in their own currency on the user interface. This provide a web2 like user experience whilst utilising web3 technologies.

Solution

This project combines a few things together in order to make cross chain transfer possible. It utilizes LayerZero for omnichain transfers of assets and calling contracts cross chain to update the state. It also utilizes oracles from Pyth & Flare network in order to get the exchange rate of the locale currency that the user may be transacting in, in order to provide a even smoother experience.
