Problem Statement

Chama cha crypto ~ savings and lending in the context of the digital economy consumers from the global south.Technicals of IdeaSmart Contracts Chama Contract: Solidity smart contract to handle Chama creation, membership, roles, governance, and financial transactions. Membership Management: Functions to add/remove members, manage roles. Governance and Voting: Functions to propose and vote on decisions, and execute outcomes. Fund Management: Functions to handle contributions, fund allocation, and withdrawals.Data Storage Blockchain Storage: Use the Ethereum blockchain for recording transactions and governance decisions.Integration with External Services Authentication: Integration with World ID for secure user verification or Unlock. Banking APIs: (If applicable) Integration for off-chain fiat transactions, if your Chama involves interaction with traditional banking systems.

Solution

Using mostly Typescript/Javascript heavy tech integrations, simple UI and UX philosophies and a deep understanding of the problems of Fintech as well as Small to Medium-sized businesses in Kenya, we aim to use open protocols to create a tool that helps facilitate lending and small community savings while still accommodating current common user interactive flows.
