Problem Statement

DeFi Shield provides protection for users who suffer losses due to vulnerabilities or exploits in DeFi protocols. By analyzing on-chain transaction logs and contract events, it determines whether the loss resulted from a verified protocol failure. Once validated, users receive instant compensation directly through a smart contract. The system ensures transparency, fairness, and full decentralization throughout the insurance process.

Solution

DeFi Shield was built with Solidity (Hardhat 3.0) for smart contracts, Node.js and PostgreSQL for backend logic, and Next.js with TypeScript for the frontend, deployed on Vercel. Blockscout SDK enables real-time on-chain data tracking, while Nexus SDK (Avail) improves interoperability. Docker containers streamline deployment, and Git manages continuous integration and version control.
