Problem Statement

The /r/hardwareswap subreddit contains various offers and trades for computer hardware items. It supports various different locations across the US, but the subreddit format is sometimes hard to browse and filter. It is also not associated to digital identity, so verified trades could be manufactured. Moving this marketplace to the blockchain would provide a simpler, faster and more secure experience.

Solution

The project will mainly use @Tableland as the backend as I am most familiar with SQL for storing data. That will be the main storage for the listings and trades, and I will use scripts to populate it and contracts to automatically verify and update trades, if time permits. @Tableland is a convenient technology for storing structured data in a decentralized way.
