Problem Statement

This minigame delivers a fresh “Impossible Game”–style challenge to the Worldcoin App. Each new level is unlocked daily, and players can buy a ticket to enter with unlimited attempts—but efficiency is everything. At the end of the day, the prize pool is awarded to the users who complete the level with the fewest attempts.Players can also design their own custom levels and share them directly in XMTP group chats on World App. In these friend-hosted challenges, the rules are simple: the first person to finish the level wins the entire pot. The game mixes skill, timing, and friendly competition into a daily experience that rewards precision.

Solution

This project is built using Next.js as the core application framework, providing the structure for the miniapp experience. To run seamlessly inside the World App, we integrated the Worldcoin MiniKit, which handles authentication, session management, and the MiniApp runtime environment.On the blockchain side, we deployed the Impossibl smart contract on World Chain. This contract manages both global and group-specific tournaments by handling ticket payments, tracking participation, and distributing rewards. For the global daily tournament, it uses a Merkle root and claim-proof mechanism to efficiently verify winners and enable trustless prize claims. In group tournaments, the process is fully automated and the prize is sent directly to the first user who completes the level.The game itself is built with PixiJS, a high-performance HTML5 and WebGL engine. Because responsive platforming and smooth rendering are essential to the experience, the PixiJS canvas is a core component that ensures fast visuals and precise gameplay within the miniapp.All of these pieces, WebGL rendering, MiniKit-native integration, and on-chain tournament logic, come together to deliver a fast, verifiable, and social skill-based game inside the World App.
