Solution

Rotare Finance was built by combining the old idea of community savings groups with the new world of blockchain and DeFi. Here’s how we put it all together:Frontend (User Side): We used React + TypeScript with Tailwind CSS and Framer Motion to build a clean, simple interface. This makes it easy for anyone to join savings pools, track their contributions, and see how their money is growing.Smart Contracts (Brains of the System): We wrote Solidity contracts that handle everything — contributions, auctions, payouts, and yield distribution. These contracts make sure the system runs automatically and transparently without needing to trust a middleman.Blockchain (Where It Lives): The contracts are deployed on Citrea Testnet, a Bitcoin Layer 2 chain. This gives us the best of both worlds — Bitcoin’s security and Ethereum-style smart contracts.DeFi Integration (Money at Work): Instead of funds just sitting idle, we connect them to DeFi protocols (like lending pools and yield farms). That way, members earn interest (APY) while waiting their turn in the ROSCA.Wallet & Web3 Tools: We used Wagmi + Viem for wallet connections and blockchain interactions. This lets users easily join pools, sign transactions, and participate in auctions directly from their wallets.Architecture in Action:A user creates or joins a savings pool.Smart contracts handle deposits and lock funds safely.Funds are deployed into DeFi to generate yield.Members can bid in Dutch auctions if they need early access.Payouts are handled automatically, with everything recorded on-chain.In short: we built Rotare Finance to feel like a modern app on the outside but run completely trustless and decentralized under the hood.
