LabuLand
Onchain world for Labubu to mate and grow! LabuLand is a “Figital” (physical + digital) project
Problem Statement
LabuLand is a “Figital” (physical + digital) project that brings Labubu dolls to life by combining NFC and blockchain. Each doll comes with an NFC card that, when tapped, creates a unique on-chain identity, turning it into a digital character. Owners can explore a shared on-chain world, interact with other Labubu collectors, and even “breed” their Labubus to create new NFT offspring. The ecosystem is powered by the $LABULAND token, where trading taxes are redistributed equally among NFT holders, ensuring community-wide rewards. Built with Worldcoin MiniApp, Next.js, and Uniswap v4 hooks, LabuLand blends playful collectibles with Web3 tech to create an engaging, community driven experience.Video: http://youtube.com/shorts/DXYBD_tqPWs
Solution
We built this project around the Worldcoin Mini App, which served as the foundation for onboarding and user verification. On top of that, we integrated an ERC-721 NFT system, where each Labubu holder is issued a unique token representing their membership. To make the economics work seamlessly, we tapped into Uniswap v4 hooks—this let us do something pretty novel: automatically collect a small transaction tax and funnel it into a rewards pool. That pool is then distributed back to NFT holders, aligning incentives between participation and ownership. One of the trickier parts (and probably the most “hacky” bit) was wiring the Uniswap hooks directly into the distribution logic. Instead of building a separate tax contract and running it on a schedule, we made the tax collection happen natively within swaps. It cut down overhead and kept the system trustless, while giving us more flexibility in how we reward the community.
